The de Leons have a rich history in Texas
that dates back as early as the 17th century with General Alonso de Leon-Gonzalez (b. 1639 or 1640 d. 1691, Cadereyta, Nuevo Leon) . Don Martin and Dona Patricia de la Garza revived the dream of settling in Texas in the late 18th century, founding, what is today, Victoria Texas. The dreams of deLeons may be footnotes to history to some, but these events bear reviving, remembering and celebrating. Therefore, we are putting an all points out to the family inviting all to come home to Victoria, in 2011. A very small group of us got together, just to make a start for this huge undertaking, and created the homecoming target date the week end of April 9, 2011, in honor of Don Martin's original land grant
